Advanced Business Plan

Our Advanced Business Plan gives a more detailed calculation of the carbon emissions caused by your business activities.

In each step (office, flights, vehicle, paper consumption, public transportation), you enter your relevant annual consumption data into the calculator.

Your greenhouse gas emissions caused by the related activity are calculated by multiplying your consumption values with the most up-to-date emission factors.

Our reference point for these emission factors is DEFRA’s (Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs) internationally acknowledged and annually updated database, Conversion Factor.

Your calculated carbon emissions are accumulated in each step as you proceed.

Flights

We have 2 different options to help calculate your carbon emissions caused by flights.

If you’re a rare traveler, you can simply enter your flight information and proceed with the calculations. However, if you fly often and don’t have the time or source to track each and every one of them, we’ve developed a system to help facilitate calculating your greenhouse gas emissions caused by them.

In this module, all you have to do is enter the number of one-way flights you have attended within a year. No additional data required.

Basic Business Plan

The Basic Business Plan is a more simplified calculator. The calculations are based on the total number of your employees and their travel patterns. All you have to do is enter the number of employees that fall under each category.

Minor travelers

This category is specifically designed to calculate the greenhouse gas emissions caused by office utilities, commutes, and short business trips (2,000 km) by car and 2 short-haul flights per month.

Occasional travelers

This category includes all the greenhouse gas emission calculations within the minor traveler category, plus the calculations equivalent to an additional 7,000 km car travel or up to 3 short-haul or 2 medium-haul return flights per month.

Frequent travelers

This category covers a lot more by calculating the carbon emissions caused by traveling 14,000 km by car or attending up to 6 short-haul, 4 medium-haul or 2 long-haul return flights in addition to the carbon emissions caused by office utilities and travel within the minor traveler category.

The reference point for these calculations is the internationally acknowledged and most recent DEFRA (Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs) database.
